Dr. Jed Diamond of Willits California, USA and his Publisher, Connection Victory Publishing Company (Pontiac, Illinois, USA) selected artist Donald Saluling (Jakarta, Indonesia) to do the artwork for the cover of Dr. Diamond’s memoir and the accompanying workbook.

Dr. Diamond was introduced to Saluling’s work via his Editor, Wilhelm Cortez, a friend and former schoolmate of Saluling. Diamond told his publisher he was attracted to the street artist’s work as it reminded him of his father’s artistic expression as a poet and puppeteer among other street artists and performers in Los Angeles, California.

Diamond is the author of 14 previous titles that have been translated and distributed globally. His memoir, My Distant Dad: Healing the Family Father Wound and the workbook, Healing the Family Father Wound: Your Playbook for Personal and Relationship Success feature Saluling’s work on the covers. The workbook also features a caricature of the author, also done by Saluling.
